Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki sent love to her former rival Victoria Azarenka on her Instagram post related to her son.
Azarenka, who gave birth to her son in 2016, went through a lot as first she took maternity leave and as she was preparing a return to the court her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Billy McKeague started to take a turn for the worse.
Azarenka loves to post pictures with her son on her Instagram account and she has been doing that for quite some time now. Recently, she posted a picture with her son Leo with a heart-touching caption
“I may not be perfect, but when I look at my son I know that I got something in my life perfectly right,” she wrote.
It has to be mentioned that the 33-year-old tennis star had to split ways with her ex-boyfriend after which a protected legal battle for the custody of their son started, she won that battle and has now been happily living with Leo since then.
The Belarusian’s post, just like everyone’s, also caught the attention of Wozniacki and she commented with a lot of heart emojis on her post.
Azarenka was asked during the 2023 Wimbledon how she manages to balance her work life and motherhood, she stated that since her son has now started going to school, so she gets some time to train after dropping him.
"But for me the biggest challenge, I would say, was an emotional attachment is kind of carrying that guilt of having time for myself and plan my day to be sometimes a little bit selfish. I had a feeling that I don't want to miss out on really anything when he's growing up," she said.
She also talked about how her son wants to watch her matches which is kind of hard for her as she may get distracted.
"So now my son wants to come to my matches (smiling). It's still a bit of a hard feeling for me, because I get a bit distracted. I have tried that in 's-Hertogenbosch, and it was a very awesome moment to share, but at the same time it kind of takes me a bit, you know, into my mom mode too much rather than being a tennis player," she said
